Marieke (Lady) is a mid-season sweater with a colourwork yoke. The chart starts at the shoulders, and goes up to the neck. The bottom of the sleeves also has a little bit of the colourwork pattern.
The construction is Top-down.
The pattern can be knitted with a main colour and one, two or even three contrasting colours.
A child version of this pattern is available under the name of « Marieke », from size 6 months to 10 yo.
This pattern is digital.
Sizes (Finished bust measurements) 83, 92 (98, 104, 110) 115, 123, 129cm
Gauge: 26 st x 34 rows = 4’’ in stockinette stitch in 3.25mm needles (or another size to get the gauge).
Recommended ease: between 0 and 5cm.
Yarn: about 1000, 1200 (1300, 1375, 1450) [1500, 1600, 1750] meters for the MC and about 80 m for each contrasting colour (the pattern includes 3 contrasting colour)
So 5, 6 (7, 7, 8) [8, 8, 9] balls of Merino – Along avec Anna for the MC et one ball of Merino – Along avec Anna per CC.
Recommended needles (if you get the gauge): A) 3 mm/US 2 circular needles for ribbing B) 3,25mm/US 3 circular needles for body and sleeves C) 3,5mm/US 4 circular needles for colourwork (if your tension is tighter when you knit this technique)
