Minaouët is a cardigan with a beautiful V-neck, pretty balloon sleeves and a loose fit, knit in broken rib stitch. Its textured stitch makes the rendering very fluffy and the knitting process quite interesting. Its drop-shoulders shape still makes it relatively accessible to beginners. It’s a soft, warm and comfortable piece!

The construction is top-down. The back is cast-on and short rows are worked on the left shoulder, then on the right shoulder, so as to create the curve. The stitches are picked up along the shoulder line to knit each half front. The fronts are joined at the back to knit the body, which has a fairly short length. The sleeve from the sleeves are picked up and knitted straight. A row of decreases at the end create this ballon effect. The finishes are made with a long cuff of ribbing 1/1.
