Helvellyn (Lady) is a feminine raglan jumper in stockinette stitch which features a nice stranded colourwork pattern in the lower body and sleeves.
The construction is top-down. You start by knitting the neckline in the round with 2×2 ribbing. German short row technique helps you lower the front of the jumper compared to the back, while knitting the raglan increases at the same time. The sleeves are put on hold to knit the body. Once the body is done, they are then knitted one by one.
A child version of this pattern is available under the name “Helvellyn (Little)” in the book “Tricoter le jacquard en rond”, Anna Dervout, Ed.Eyrolles.
This pattern is a digital pdf.
