Steam Valley (Little) is a winter sweater with a very pretty colourwork yoke. The motif begins just after the neckline, and goes down to the armholes.
The construction is top-down: the neckline is cast-on, knit with a 2×2 ribbing, then the yoke is knit with colourwork motif. The sleeves are put on hold to knit the body. Once the body is done, they are then knitted one by one.
The pattern can be knitted with a main colour and one, two or even three contrasting colours.
An adult version of this pattern is available under the name « Steam Valley (Lady)», and it will be perfect to make matching outfits if you wanted!
