With or without Glasses
Hello everyone! I hope you are ready for the holiday season and ready to go in 2017! Have you already anticipated your resolutions? For my part there is one that has been clear for a few weeks: to assume my glasses! Because, let’s be honest, I have glasses. You may not know it because I never wear them on the blog pictures, and I’ve just started wearing them on IG photos, but they’re on my nose from morning till night.
It all started in the spring of 2013 when my friend, neighbor, and fellow colleague Ingrid in Montreal kept telling me « Anna you do not see well, you need glasses! ». But no, I replied, I see very well! And then as the weeks went by, my vision kept getting worse, especially when I was reading. In addition to that, I clearly could not read the bus number, while Ingrid with her lenses could read very well. So I decided to go see an eye doctor. It became clear that I needed glasses! I may even had badly damaged my vision because of sewing every night. Basically I had (and I still have) two problems: my eyes get tired when I read and can’t focus anymore, and on top of that I can’t see well from far. As a result, I needed progressive lenses.
I had a hard time choosing my frame at that time, and as the purpose of my glasses was to wear them only for work and sewing (and television), I chose a rather basic style. And then as months went by (and inevitably during pregnancy as the hormones disrupt the vision!) I realized that I had to wear them more and more. Now it’s clear, I put them on my nose in the morning and I remove them at night … So I clearly entered the category of people with glasses …! Except that when I bought my frame, I had not planned to wear them so much! As a result, I did not assume them at all. So this is why you have never seen me on the blog.
When GlassesShop offered me to review a pair of glasses (with prescription), I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try a new style that I could finally assume. This website is selling eyeglasses online, and can do it with your prescription. I actually wondered if I would chose glasses or prescription sunglasses, but decided to go for eyeglasses as it’s what I really need.
So I admit that ordering on the internet was not simple, despite their photo software that puts you the glasses on your face. So I selected the frames I liked (I already knew which type), and I went to try similar glasses in stores. Once found, I ordered and received them fairly quickly. I have been wearing them for about a month and I am very satisfied. They are comfortable, the prescription is good, and I assume the style much better compared to my old ones.
If you are interested, GlassesShop offers a discount code to my readers : you can have 50% off on eyeglasses and sunglasses with free lenses (sale frames excluded) with the code GSHOT50.
So what do you think? Do you have trouble to assume your glasses to? Do you change often the style of your eyeglasses?
Disclaimer : I received this pair of glasses for free in exchange for a review, but GlassesShop didn’t pay me to write this article. All the opinions written in this article are mine and sincere.
