Review : Atelier Charlotte Auzou
A few weeks ago, I received the book Apprendre à coudre ses vêtements et accessoires, by Atelier Charlotte Auzou for a review. I had seen some of the patterns available in the book on Instagram and loved the wrap skirt straight away!
This book is for sewing beginners, but of course, anyone can make the patterns! It is all in french so I won’t explain everything you have on it here if you can’t speak this language. If you want a proper review, you can click on the flag and read the french version of this article.
This book includes 20 sewing lessons, from “how to gather a skirt” to “how to sew a zipper” with clear instructions and pictures. It is very good for someone who doesn’t have a clue on what to do all that!
The book includes as well 12 patterns for begginers :
– Accessorizes : A bag, a scarf and a clutch bag.
– Clothes : A tank top, a tank dress, a pair of cozy shorts, a wrap skirt, a perfecto and many more.
I’ve made the bag and the wrap skirt already but I still haven’t had the chance to photograph them! Montreal weather and temperatures have been a real yoyo lately so I’ve got a lot of sewing projects to show you!
Anyway, I find this book very good for beginners and it is definitely in my list of advice now if a friend ask me : “I want to learn how to sew, where do I start from?!” but obvisouly you need to speak french 😉
I included pictures in this article so you can have a look at it! Have a nice monday !
