New pattern release : Romy (jumper)

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are well !Today I’m writing to tell you all about my new pattern which will be released tomorrow (Friday, December 7) :  the Romy (jumper).
Romy is the perfect jumper for the cool temperatures we currently have: it is knitted with a fingering weight yarn and a lace mohair. My version was made in the Welsh mule (100% BFL) and Veld lace bases from Moël View Yarn : 100% natural yarns and dye! I am delighted to be able to honor Paula’s work with this design. She did an update last friday for these two bases but they were sold out very quickly. She is away in December but she said she  will put these two bases online in January. In the meantime, I’m sure you can easily find an equivalent in other shops. Note that it could be made only with one single DK yarn if you wanted.

Romy is a jumper with a similar construction to Erell: drop-shoulders and slightly boxy. The body is knit is the round from bottom to top, starting with this beautiful lace, which is the major element of this sweater. The front and back are then separated and knitted back and forth from the armholes to the neckline. The stitches of the sleeves are then picked-up to be knitted in the round, from top to bottom.
Note that the neckline was slightly lowered down after the test, especially for larger sizes. This modification allows you greater comfort, no matter how flexible the yarn used is.

It has a large  panel of sizes: 87.5, 98.5 (110, 120.5) [131.5, 142.5] cm (finished bust measurements)
The recommended ease is lower than the one for Erell: here, I recommend between 10 to 20 cm and I have exactly 15cm on my version (first pictures). This gives a comfortable sweater but not too large. Again, due to my small size, I’ve made the length at the hips: know that it can be lengthened without difficulty as noted in the pattern.
This is a delicate and feminine pattern as I love them, but also very simple to achieve with just enough technique (lace, german short rows, 3-needles bind-off).

I hope this pattern will please you as much as me! It will be released officially tomorrow on Ravelry. And to celebrate its launch, I offer -15% on this pattern with the code Romy15: this code will be accessible from Friday morning (00:00 uk time), until Sunday evening (23:59 UK time) .

I wish you a very very beautiful day!
