in Montreal, have you heard of it before?

Sunday 22th of February, I had the chance to be invited for a DIY afternoon with other bloggers from Montreal, thanks to Ismerie and Florence, the founders, and Justine from Made in Blog. I arrived early afternoon and spent a great time there.

Before they decided to open this shop, Ismérie and Florence were working from home and welcomed their clients in their own place. But since  the end of 2014, they opened this cute shop called ‘L’Atelier du coin de la rue’. In Bienville street, close to Mont-Royal metro, this shop is a very good place to learn how to make DIY projects, or to find the perfect gift for a friend … or for yourself as they have a lot of decorations, accessories and jewelry from Quebecois designers.

Ismerie is the founder of The Little Spot : Her role is to teach the DIY workshop and to find you Quebecois designers items. Florence, is the founder of Me Myself and Montreal and her role is to find the best addresses in Montreal, and to make every month the Me, Myself & Montreal boxes, which are using quebecian designers creations as well.

We were really well welcomed that sunday, with cakes, muffins, candies and tea! Just for that I was already content! As I arrived after few other bloggers, I had to wait a bit before I could start my workshop, which gave me time to walk around the boutique and discover their items selection.

The idea of the shop is simple : every month, you have a selection of differents workshop available that you can do whenever you want. And as Ismerie and Florence mentioned : “we welcome the clients in a cozy environment, like if it was still at home. We give you the material, we explain to you, you can have a tea, and let’s do it!” some workshop are often coming back in the selection as the clients usually ask for them, but for the others, they try to change so you can have for everyone’s taste. Prices start at 15$ to 40$, and some workshop can be made with 3 years old kids! You may have to book in advance for some specific workshop to be sure the boutique has all the material you will need.

For this special afternoon between bloggers, we had the chance to make coasters, that could also be used as table mats as well if you join them all together. We sat at the table with our tea and Ismerie took time to guide us along the way.

We had the chance to leave the boutique with a craft box from Me Myself & Montreal, including the material to make two items for yourself, or to offer!

I’ve spend a very nice afternoon in this shop, and I can’t wait to go back. If you want to craft or just to buy nice things, it’s the new place to go! I loved it!
